Key Competencies
My competencies reflect an interdisciplinary engagement with law, technology, and intellectual development, with particular interests in legal research, dispute resolution, Islamic finance, and digital knowledge platforms.
Legal Competency 01
Legal and Academic Research
I provide structured research and scholarly analysis across diverse areas of law, combining meticulous statutory interpretation, case review, and critical evaluation of legal principles.
Experience Highlights:
- 1) Publication contributions and chairing the editorial board for the Solace Chambers Weekly Legal Bit publications and Compendium (1st and 2nd Edition) initiative.
- 2) Virtual Intern at Chinedu G. Udora & Co., Abuja – research across Corporate Law, Property Law, and Sports Law.
- 3) Interned at Olumide Babalola Legal Practitioners, Lagos where I led a team in public interest litigation research for Federal High Court cases and specific data breaches instances.
- 4) Interned with D.A. Iduh Advocates and Omaplex Law Firm exposed me to litigation, ADR, corporate governance, and emerging legal technologies through daily submission of well-research legal articles.

Legal Competency 02
Litigation and ADR Practice Assistance
I provide analytical and procedural support in both litigation and out-of-court dispute resolution processes through case law analysis, legal drafting, and alternative dispute resolution frameworks.
Experience Highlights:
- 1) I served as the Deputy Director and subsequently, the Director of Research & Litigation, Solace Chambers, Bayero University, Kano, where I facilitated weekly advocacy sessions, moot and mock trial exercises, and trained members on courtroom practice basics.
- 2) I actively participated and earned a Certification on ADR at the Hon. Justice Safiyya Badamasi ADR Workshop organised by the Bayero University Law Clinic in 2023 in collaboration with the Kano State Multidoor Court and the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators, Kano Branch.
- 3) I had a formal and practical training and exposure in mediation, negotiation, and conciliation through the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators, Kano Branch.
- 4) I contributed to the maiden edition of the National Alternative Dispute Resolution Society (NADRS) Realms of Resolution Volume 1, 2023-2024 facilitated the annual ADR competition organised by Solace Chambers, Bayero University, Kano.

Contributed to the success of the initiagtive as a Director of Research of the association.
Director of Research & Litigation, Solace Chambers
As the Director of Research, I facilitated weekly advocacy sessions, moot and mock trial exercises, and trained members on courtroom practice basics.
Annual ADR Competition
As the Chambers Head, I facilitated the annual ADR competition organised by Solace Chambers, Bayero University, Kano.
Legal Competency 03
Islamic Finance & Shari’ah Governance
I engage in rigorous research on Islamic financial systems, focusing on regulatory frameworks, Shari’ah compliance mechanisms, and governance structures within Islamic capital markets.
Experience Highlights:
- 1) Earned the Associate Certificate in Islamic Banking and Finance (ACIBF) issued by the International Institute of Islamic Banking and Finance, Bayero University, Kano.
- 2) Underwent LL. B training in Islamic finance, inheritance, waqf systems and general jurisprudence and court systems at Bayero University, Kano.
- 3) Conducted the compulsory LL.B dissertation on Sukuk Market in Nigeria and Shari’ah supervisory oversight by the Committee of Experts.

Legal Competency 04
Legal & Legislative Drafting
I engage in the preparation and structuring of legal documents, policy drafts, and legislative drafts with emphasis on clarity, coherence, and legal precision.
Experience Highlights:
- 1) Assisted in drafting corporate and public interest litigation originating processesb at Olumide Babalola Legal Practitioners.
- 2) Drafted court processes, settlement agreements, and correspondences during my internship at A.A. Hikima & Co and Abdulghaniy Talib & Co.
- 3) Underwent a training on Legoslative Drafting by the Association of Legislative Drafting and Advocacy Practitioners.
Technical Competency
Web Development & Artificial Intelligence Literacy
I, alongside my team at Rayyan Technologies, design responsive websites and digital platforms for industries, law firms, businesses, educational institutions, start-ups, etc. I also possess a good use of modern AI tools.
Experience Highlights:
- 1) I designed a customised, responsive website for Solace Chambers - a students-based law chambers domiciled in Faculty of Law, Bayero University, Kano.
- 2) I designed a customised, responsive website for Bayero University Law Clinic - a students-based organisation regulated by the Council for Legal Education, Nigeria.

Organisational Competency
Strategic Leadership & Institutional Support
I provide structured strategic support to organisations, combining my leadership experience with legal expertise to mentor teams, improve operations, and drive intellectual and organisational growth.
Experience Highlights:
- 1) I held various positions in Solace Chambers, Bayero University, Kano, from serving as the Chief Registrar, Deputy Director, to holding the position of Attorney General (Chambers Head), where I immensely contributed to the current renewed and growth-driven structure of the Chambers.
- 2) I made a significant contribution to the establishment and operation of the Editorial Board of the National Alternative Dispute Resolution Society as the Director of Research III. I led a team of fellow law students across the country.
- 3) Pioneered the Solace Virtual Mentorship Programme, an annual mentorship platform created to facilitate personal and professional growth of not only members of the Chambers but also growth-focused law students across the country and beyond.
- 4) Planned and coordinated the weekly sessions of the International Humanitarian Law Club, Bayero University, Kano. I facilitated sessions on key principles of IHL, the general application of IHL, and how it operates in the international and national contexts.
